Thick-cut steak on a sizzling iron plate, with garlic chips and onions. Choose one of three original sauces: whole onion, hyper-garlic steak, or black pepper.

Hamburg Karaage ¥658

A hamburg steak, fried karaage-style. Gold Prize winner at the 14th Karaage Grand Prix.

Original Nikuyaki Ramen ¥1,428

Grand Prix winner at the Japan Food Selection. Chewy medium-thick noodles loaded with grilled beef.

Kuroge Wagyu, in small plates

Every dish in this series uses Kuroge Wagyu. Most plates are ¥658 — order a few and taste the range.

How to enjoy BKS

1. Start with a highball and a ¥109–¥329 speed plate — they come out fast.
2. Order the Bifteki and a few Wagyu small plates to share — or keep them all to yourself.
3. Finish with the Nikuyaki Ramen.
4. Groups: party courses with 2 hours of all-you-can-drink start at ¥3,300. Every course includes Kuroge Wagyu yakishabu with egg yolk; add draft beer for +¥500.

Good to know

• Cover charge ¥438 at most locations — it includes all-you-can-eat edamame. Tachikawa charges ¥437, and Hon-Atsugi has no cover charge.
• Highballs and sours come packed with ice on purpose — filled to the brim so they stay as cold as possible, just as the makers recommend.
• Tables are close together and plates are small. That is exactly how we keep these prices.
• This is a sit-down tavern, not a standing bar. (Only Shinbashi has a small standing section, 14 seats.)
